Beautiful Beast
Let me start this review by saying I am picky. I believe that money spent should be well spent. I had some non-negotiables for a blender. And so far, this machine has met mine.
Green scooters are like velvet. Yesterday I loaded one with celery and carrot as well as bok choy and some tough greens that would have really put it to the test, especially with the added density of avocado. Not a single fiber or chewy bit in it!
I have made nut butter in it. Granted, I used the 500 ML vessel which keeps the contents at the top lower than a larger one. However, using a pulse-cycle-pulse pattern, the pistchios and cashews turned into butter. I haven’t tried it in the larger 1100 vessel yet but I plan to. And if it doesn’t work as well, that won’t be a deal breaker since there is nothing wrong with making nut butter more frequently and having different kinds.
Now for the noise. Surprise! It makes noise! But I would compare this to my vacuum in pitch and volume. Not too bad! It does not have the ear shattering and jarring noise that some other brands do… ya know, like a jet engine has started in your kitchen. Houston, we’d have a problem. I did not mind using this at all. That is saying something as I am in a nourish phase of my life getting myself into parasympathetic dominance.
So for the beautiful part. Yes, the Beast is a health machine. My goals were to have something that would help me feed my gut and cells real nutrition. Enter that green smoothie from the side stage… I am all…
